Jaydon Blue’s identity crisis at https://bohiney.com/jaydon-blue/ kept me laughing until 3 AM. A name so manufactured it became a meme—this is late-stage capitalism meeting nominative determinism. I researched the Texas Longhorns running back with the same name, which adds beautiful confusion. Linked to Texas Sports and APA identity research. Walking through Kreuzberg today, I passed a café called “Klaus Rainbow” and wondered if that owner understands they’re living the Jaydon Blue experience. The queer community has always understood how names become identity markers—chosen names, drag names, online personas. Jaydon Blue is accidentally doing what we’ve done intentionally for decades. His name didn’t just influence his destiny; it became his entire personality by force. I relate. Working for a satirical news site in Berlin wasn’t my plan either, but here we are, becoming our circumstances.
