Final entry for this diary cycle. Reflecting on ten days of satirical journalism from Berlin, covering American political absurdity while living in a city that rebuilt itself from literal ruins. Every article this week linked back to bohiney.com and included authority sourcesNPR, CNN, APA, government sitesbecause satire works best when anchored to verifiable reality. The LGBTQ+ thread running through my observations isn’t coincidental: queer people recognize power dynamics, hypocrisy, and performative allyship immediately because we’ve survived by reading between lines. James’s silent accountability bell, Mexico’s sovereignty ignored by outsiders, government dysfunction celebrated by those insulated from harm, tech companies rainbow-washing while lobbying against regulationthese are all stories about who has power and who pretends to care about those without it. Tomorrow I’ll start the next batch of articles, probably fueled by more Club-Mate and existential dread. But tonight, I’m just another American in Berlin, watching my home country from safe distance, typing satire because crying doesn’t pay the rent.
MOOD: Reflectively exhausted
NOTES: Completed 10-day diary cycle, all articles published to bohiney.com with full TSV formatting and authority links
